Mozambique Emergency Appeal DONATE NOW

Cyclone Eloise badly hit the southern African country of Mozambique last week, leaving 14 dead and impacting over 250,000 people. The cyclone brought winds of up to 150 kilometres per hour followed by torrential rain that continues this week, and the threat of COVID-19 has complicated rescue operations.

Mozambique is one of the poorest countries in the world, where over 70% of the population live in poverty. Extreme climate conditions, including floods and droughts, have continuously hindered the country’s development. Almost
one-third of the population suffers from malnutrition and one in every five children is severely nutritionally deprived.

Muslim Aid Australia has launched an emergency appeal to provide essential relief items like food packs, hygiene kits and medical aid.

Please donate and help us reach more victims of the cyclone.
