COMMUNITY WATER SYSTEM:
Ummah Jameelah is a not for profit organization in Melbourne who run a range of organized activities for children under five and their families. They run a rostered playgroup program and this term, will be teaching the children about Sadaqa. In conjunction with this initative, they have partnered with MAA to build a community water well in rural drought-stricken countries to help combat the water shortage.
The cost of one Community Water System is $3500. This is the target for the term, and if they go over the target and have enough to build extra water wells we will do so Insha Allah. Otherwise, any donations over the target that won't be enough for a second water well will go to the MAA Somalia borehole campaign. Either way, you will be involved in Sadaqa Jariyah campaigns.
THIS IS A SADAQAH JARIYAH PROJECT!
Sadaqah Jariyah: A continuous charity which will provide you with rewards for as long as people benefit from your good deeds. The Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) said:
“When a man passes away, his good deeds will also come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)” Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Muslim
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Donate generously for the cause and earn rewards for 'Sadaqa Jaariya' - continuous charity. Every MAA WaSH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) project helps people with access to a safe place for water collection, provides clean water and contributes to their good health and overall prosperity.
