RAMADAN SUSTENANCE FOR STRUGGLING REFUGEE FAMILIES IN JORDAN
They fled the war with tattered belongings and hearts full of fear. Now, in Jordan's safe embrace, refugee families endure a different kind of hardship – hunger. Jordan, one of the Arab world's poorest nations, grapples with limited resources and economic challenges. Poverty affects 40% of its population, a situation worsened by the arrival of millions of refugees fleeing conflict, including over two million Palestinians and over 650,000 Syrians. The global pandemic has amplified this crisis, pushing families deeper into food insecurity.
MAA has partnered with Zadcom Relief and Development in Jordan to bring hope to these families. Our Ramadan Food Hamper project provides essential support to Syrian, Iraqi, and Palestinian refugees and local Jordanian families struggling to make ends meet. Your donation can sustain these needy families during this sacred month of giving.
Our food packs provide nourishing staples, nutritious foods, and small comforts that honour the spirit of Ramadan:
-
White Sugar (5kg), Al Baladia Cheese (2kg), Rice (3.5kg), Sunflower Oil (1.8L), Milk Powder (800g), Tea (100 pieces), Cheese Spread (24pcs), Flour (5kg), Green Beans (1kg), Medjoul Dates (1kg), Canned Beans (400g x3), Salt (750g x2), Tahini (800g), Halawa (500g), Vermicelli Noodles (300g x4), Pasta (300g x4), Tomato Paste (135g x6), Raisins (250g), Coconut (250g), and Cream (125g x3).

Note: At MAA, we believe we have a duty to fight injustice at every level, big and small. It’s not enough to give aid to the most vulnerable and marginalised after harm has befallen them; we must stand up for them and empower their voices. To fulfil our collective obligation, MAA may dedicate a portion of your sadaqah donations to this cause to create change and dismantle the forces that harm the most marginalised.
