Kenya is a country where just under half of the population lives below the poverty line. This lack of financial stability makes education a luxury, one that most people can’t afford, let alone Orphans. Child Labour is another issue which is extremely common in Kenya where 79% of the population is under 30 years of age. With a population of over 44 million, that makes for a substantial number of minors.
For these reasons, MAA has developed and implemented two Orphan Aid Projects in Kenya focusing on both Orphans and Education.
Project 1: Dagahaley Centre for Girls Excellence
Location: Dagahaley Village, Habaswein District, Wajir County, North Eastern Kenya
Project 2: Sayyidah Fatima Girls Education Complex and Orphanage
Location: Garba Tulla district, Kenya
