India is one of the poorest countries in the world, accounting for up to 90 million people living below the poverty line out of a total population of around 1.4 billion. The country also regularly bears the brunt of disasters both natural and human-made, and over the years, providing emergency relief in such situations has been a top priority for us at MAA.
A few weeks back, the city of Hyderabad got hit with massive floods after torrential rain, leaving up to 90 dead and millions affected. As the city slowly limps back to normalcy, there are several issues to deal including providing medical aid, support to clean up the filthy, stinking neighbourhoods, and providing support so people can rebuild their lives. Meanwhile, with COVID cases continuing to rise, the situation is unprecedented and requires all of our support.
Support our India Emergency appeal, and we will ensure that your donation is used to provide essential aid to those who need it most, including the victims of the Hyderabad floods.
